Terms & Conditions

Overview

By placing an order with MWENDYA, you agree to the following terms. These are designed to ensure quality, clarity, and a seamless experience.

Orders & Lead Times

All items are prepared in small batches to maintain freshness and presentation.

  • Afternoon tea orders and event bookings require at least 4 days’ notice
  • Shipped orders require 2–3 business days for preparation before dispatch
  • Orders are confirmed only after full payment is received

Shipping & Delivery

We package all orders with care to preserve quality during transit.

  • Delivery times vary by location and carrier
  • Once shipped, we are not responsible for carrier delays
  • Customers must provide accurate shipping details

Additional fees may apply for incorrect or incomplete addresses.

Perishable Goods

Our products are perishable and made to order.

  • Items may arrive chilled or frozen to ensure freshness
  • Proper storage and handling upon delivery are the customer’s responsibility
  • We cannot guarantee quality if products are not handled as instructed

All sales are final due to the nature of perishable goods.

Afternoon Tea Experiences (In-House)

  • Bookings require a minimum of 4 days’ notice
  • All reservations are subject to availability
  • Final guest count must be confirmed in advance

Cancellations & Store Credit

Due to preparation time and product nature:

  • Orders cancelled more than 72 hours in advance may receive store credit
  • Orders cancelled within 72 hours are non-refundable and not eligible for credit

Store Credit Terms:

  • Never expires
  • Valid for any future purchase
  • Can be used for equal or lesser value

Event and large orders may have additional terms at confirmation.

Corporate & Bulk Orders

Large or corporate orders may require:

  • Extended lead times
  • Deposit or full prepayment
  • Direct coordination for fulfillment

Product Availability

Each MWENDYA box is carefully curated.

  • Items may vary slightly based on availability
  • Any substitutions will be of equal or greater quality

Limitation of Liability

MWENDYA is not responsible for:

  • Shipping delays caused by carriers
  • Improper handling after delivery
  • Allergic reactions (please review ingredients carefully)

Liability is limited to the value of the purchased product.
